Q) Can I use a SAM4s Cash Register other than the 285M?
A) Yes! Currently the list above are the only supported models for Bridge Technology. If you already own one we can integrate with your current register.
Q) What if I have no idea what I need?
A) Baystate will help you decide what register will fit your business requirements, and we will help you figure out the most efficient way to program your machine for your sales associates.
Please note that additional peripherals such as scanners, scales, printers, and other devices may not be possible when using the Sterling Bridge. It utilizes 2 serial ports and only the Samsung SAM4s 285M has an optional 3rd serial port for an additional peripheral device. We believe within the next few months there will be additional machines that use USB and have additional serial ports so you can plug in all those extra devices!

With Sterling Bridge, you don’t have to be at your business to access critical "back office" reports on your cash register.
Sterling Bridge gives you access to your data through any Internet-connected PC. ExpressLane's flexible user interface allows you to search, view and print reports quickly, securely and easily. Reports can be viewed and printed or data can be exported directly into bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks.
And with Sterling Bridge proprietary technology, you can also make changes to your cash register instantly from any internet connected computer system.
The web-based reports and communication tools built into the Sterling Bridge includes:
PLU Update - Allows merchants to add, delete or update PLU information on the ECR securely via the Internet at any time, from any location.
Financial Report - A breakdown of sales across all tender types - cash, check, credit, debit and gift cards. Export to a spreadsheet or bookkeeping software.
PLU Report - Provides merchants with a snapshot of what products sold for the day and what products did not. Merchants can print this information on a daily basis, or they have the ability to search historical data by selecting a unique date range to create reports from virtually any combination of days. PLU reports allow merchants to monitor trends and through PLU Update, adjust product descriptions and pricing accordingly.
Time Report - A round-the-clock view of the day's sales. This report allows merchants to analyze when sales are high or low.
Clerk Report - A report that details employee sales across all tender types. Track which employee sells the most and set date ranges to determine why.
Daily Report - This report provides a view of daily sales activity over a specific time span, allowing a merchant to adjust days of operation to those with higher sales.
Stock Report - Keeps track of merchandise sold and know when to reorder before it's too late.
